(a)
Airports Authority of India Chennai has reduced
the height of towers, as a result now we can make
only 170 DUs instead of 270 planned earlier. HQ
AAI has expressed inability to give NOC for the
height as originally planned due to technical
considerations. This will increase the cost of
DUs, details will be uploaded in a few days.
(b) Tender documents
and drawings for the revised scheme are being
scrutinised. Tenders are likely to be issued within
one month.

Acres of land have been acquired at Village - Cheruvakkal,
Thiruvananthapuram. The land is located near Aakulam
Lake approximately 2.5 Km away from College of Engineering,
Trivandrum.

| COSTING
OF DWELLING UNITS IN TRIVANDRUM |
| 1.
There has been a number of queries regarding the costing
of AWHO houses of our forthcoming project at Trivandrum
vis-à-vis costs being advertised/offered by some
private builders.
2.
Tentative costing of the project at Trivandrum was done
based on the quoted rates of last one/two projects of
similar design / pattern. Since the prices of Steel,
Cement and related building materials have come down
and in case this trend continues, then the benefit of
this will be passed on to the allottees as AWHO works
on `No Profit No Loss' basis.

ELIGIBILITY:
1. Army personnel (serving/retired) widows of
army personnel and parents of unmarried Fatal Battle
Casualties (if applying within two years of demise of
their child ) who are in receipt of family pension are
eligible to apply. Those who already own a DU/Plot allotted
by AWHO earlier may also apply. However they will be
considered as Priority II. Those who have applied in
Demand Survey for various other stations and waitlisted
registrants of Annual/Spot scheme are also eligible
to apply.
2.
To obtain Application form
:
Send demand draft of Rs. 100/- (for Regd Post) in favour
of MD, AWHO payable at New Delhi or collect
in person from any Project Office or HQ AWHO on payment
of Rs 50/-. Form can also be downloaded from AWHO Website
www.awhosena.org in which case applicants will have
to remit Rs. 100/- for subsequent despatch of AWHO Master
Brochure.
