NOIDA commuters will soon be driving under the
first-of-its-kind of entrance ever designed in
India.

| Part
of a project to beautify the entrances of Noida,
construction work on this point started in Apr
2003. |
The
four entries of Noida -
from Mayur Vihar, from Kalindi
Kunj, from NH-24 near
Sector 62,from Greater
Noida - will be beautified in phases. |
| For
this project, a national competition for concept
and contrct was held last year and nine parties
from all over India participated. |
This
is the first time that a gate like this has ever
been made in India.
Its specilalty is that the angles of the structure
are going out at angles.
The 11 metre-tall and 25-meters-long steel structure
will be surrounded by alkabond sheets. This is a
Special material, which lasts very long.
There will be no impact of dust materials or of
pollutants on it and its colour will be retained
for at least 30 years. |
The
cost of the project is about Rs. 2.5 crore.
The finishing of the gate will be given in Italian
Marble, Granitle and Copper polished space frames.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the
end of July 2003. |
