EXPRESSWAY
Beyond offering an impediment-free drive, the Gautam Buddha Expressway appears set to speed up the all-round economic growth of the Noida - Greater Noida area.
Four Special Development Zones (SDZs) will be developed along the corridor:
an IT City, Medical City, Bio-tech City and a Commercial hub.

About 85 acres have been earmarked at sector SDZ-6 for a Biotech City where state -of-the art R&D facilites, laboratories and bio-service centres are envisaged.

Spread over 200 acres in SDZ-7, the Medical City will have super-speciality hositals, diagnostic centres, medical colleges and more .

The Web city in SDZ-5 will have an IT park, Office complexes, Business Centres, etc.

A shopping mall, multiplex, food court, etc are planned over a 30 acre plot in the commercial hub.

All the Special Development Zones will be located close to the Gautam Budhha Expressway near the proposed international airport.

In addition, the entire length of the corridor will be dotted with top class residential facilities to supplement commercial and industrial activites.
Responsibility for developing the corridor rests with Noida Authority and GNIDA.
This project is perhaps the first instance in India when local governemnts have been entrusted with the development of an entire corridor along an expressway.
By the year 2011 NOIDA will form a part of the evolving conurbation (a term used to refer to a network of urban communities) extending from Delhi to Faridabad. Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, with complementary business, trade and commerce, residential, recreational and institutional relationships.
