Number of DUs initially planned in Part 'A'
(50 acres plot) has reduced due to the road which
has been planned by the State Government passing
through it. The short fall of DUs in Part 'A'
is being adjusted in Part 'B' (11 acres plot).
Plans have been sanctioned by the local authorities
in respect of Part-'B' and tenders have been issued.
The work in Part 'B' is expected to start by end
Sep 08.
The site at Part 'A' now consists of two portions
located on either side of the road which is passing
almost through the middle of the site. The portion
on the North side of the road measuring about
24 acres has been declared as 'Residential' in
the Outline Development Plan (ODP) published by
the Government, whereas the portion of site falling
on the South of the road has not been declared
as 'Residential' in the ODP though the same has
already been got converted to 'Residential' from
the appropriate authorities by AWHO. The housing
scheme cannot be submitted to the sanctioning
authorities for this portion of the site till
the time ODP is amended. This has to be done by
the Government of Karnataka. The matter has been
taken up by AWHO as well as AG even with the office
of the Governor to resolve the matter.
In the meantime, portion of the site on the
North of the road has been planned and drawings
have been submitted for the approval of Bangalore
International Airport Area Planning Authority
(BIAAPA) under whose jurisdiction the site falls.
The portion of site on South of the road has also
been planned and the drawings will be submitted
to BIAAPA only when the site is declared residential
and ODP is amended.
